Joe Knows Bird Poop

porsche_covered_in_bird_poop_680x510c49804

Bird droppings can be nasty to a paint job. The droppings from a bird have acid in it that can destroy your car’s paint. Do not rub the spot out. That is about the worst thing you can do, it will certainly ruin the paint. If you can’t get to a hot, soapy soaked cloth very quickly, the you gotta call Joe.

One of the best ways of avoiding bird poop is to park away from light posts and a little distance away from buildings. Birds will often poop just before taking off or while taking off. At times, other drivers, people walking, or sudden movement sometimes really do scare the poop out of a bird. Don’t park by the dumpsters. Some birds are scavengers and hit parking lots frequently for food. And if a bird is loading food in, then poop is coming out.

Joe Knows Bikes

IMAG0366

Who details your bike? Did you know that a full motorcycle detail can take up to eight hours? Regardless of what kind of motorcycle you own, we hope that whoever is taking care of it, they know what they are doing. Bugs, dirt and tar can quickly build up on your bike. When using a buffer make sure your polish and waxes are compatible. Chemical bases differ, and some chemicals will react adversely when mixed. If you are using towels, make sure you have plenty of them. The more the merrier. Please be careful not to use towels from the sides, on the upper body surfaces and of course, be sure never to detail your bike in the sun. If all of this sounds daunting, bring your bike to Joe. Joe knows bikes and he would love to detail it for you.

The Camaro Made 775 Horse!

engine

Joe’s technicians at the shop just finished work on this 2013 ZL1 Camaro. When it came off the dyno, it showed that it made 775 horse! It just went through an E85 conversion which is an ethanol fuel blend of 85% denatured ethanol fuel and 15% gasoline or other hydrocarbon. We also installed 85 pound injectors, a new air intake system, racing headers from our friends at American Racing Headers. The car is absolutely sick.

If you are in the market to improve the performance of your muscle car, you gotta visit Joe’s Muscle Car Garage first.

Located in Babylon, on the South Shore of Suffolk County, Long Island, Joe’s Muscle Car garage is a state-of-the-art, secure, climate-controlled and virtually dust-free facility that provides a unique, multipurpose, storage solution for your prized a...

Pollen is something you want to remove as often as you can. There are many forms of pollen and all of them make your car look like a yellow submarine. In addition to the horrible look, be careful how you remove it. Although it is small, a single pollen grain can cling to the various pores of your paint. Once there, it’s the acidity of the grain that can cause damage. You can wash your car frequently to fight off the pollen and if you get behind, be careful. If the pollen builds up on your car more more then a few days, call Joe. We will carefully remove it while protecting your paint.

Come to Joe’s Muscle Car Garage and get the “Ultimate Detail”. At Joe’s we know how to detail your car. We are experts and employ the best on Long Island...

Joe’s Grand Opening

_DSC1004

Our Opening day celebration was Sunday, December 9th and we had a blast. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate but that didn’t really matter too much. We had a great turnout and we enjoyed great food, fantastic live music and most of all some unbelievable cars. People commented on what a very cool place this is. Spotless, professional but a great place to hang with friends and fellow car fanatics. “Nothing else like it around, just a great place”. We enjoyed checking out some great cars, great entertainment and lots of fun with great people.
